Alvernia University Undergraduate Education Programs
Alvernia’s undergraduate education programs combine a classic liberal arts curriculum with hands-on fieldwork, including observation hours and student teaching. Unlike many other institutions, Alvernia‘s programs focus on cultivating students’ appreciation for diversity, which enables them to better relate to and teach children and young adults in an array of educational settings. Along with relevant coursework, students have a number of opportunities to explore the field of education outside the classroom by taking part in the Alvernia Education Association, joining Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society, working with the Council for Exceptional Children, and participating in Alvernia’s service-learning program.
