Working for more than two decades as an x-ray technician, Maureen Pettengill suddenly found herself without a job. She took this as a perfect opportunity to go back to college and explore a new career in Early Childhood Education. She did her externship at a school working with 3-5 year olds. When she interviewed for a position there, she got it. Her Kaplan University degree made all the difference.

After graduating from Kaplan University with a degree in travel and hospitality, Jory Dyer landed a position as a sales coordinator for a 27-property hospitality company in New England. Working at a hotel/car reservations job was enough to make Jamie Thomits realize she wanted a long-term career in the travel industry. To accomplish this, she decided to earn a degree.
